Dr. Samuele Bacchiocchi was born in Rome, Italy. Before world war two, his father through Bible study discovered Sabbath. Since then, their family keep the Sabbath even though there was no Seventh Day Adventist around their city. The Bacchiocchi family suffered a lot on keeping the Sabbath. After Samuele grown up, he decided to do research on the reason of switch over from Sabbath to Sunday. In order to get accessed to the most historical information, he applied to the Gregorian University of Vatican and was accepted. On his doctorial thesis, through debate, was awarded the gold medal by Pope Paul VI. Since then, the Catholics can also keep the Sabbath with Saturday evening mass.
